Stay in control:

Try your best to be in control at all the times. Here are some of the points:

If your mind tells you that you should eat fruits and your taste tells you to eat JALABEES, don’t be controlled by your taste. In such case, if you still eat JALABEES, the taste has taken control of you and you lost the control.

If your mind tells you to prepare for your exams and your "liking" tells you to watch a movie, don’t be controlled by your "liking". If you watched movie, the "liking" controlled you and you are not in control.

The concept is that you can let your "heart" give you ideas, but make sure that you take final permission from your mind for actually deciding what to do.

I read some where that if you can win over your "desires", you will have better self-control. I am not suggesting that you should not have desires. Obviously without desires it will be hard to live a happy life. All I am saying is that always keep a rational control with the help of your mind over your all the desires. The final orders must come from your mind and not from your heart or desires.

If you "must" get tea in the morning, you are being controlled by tea and you lost control. If your body needs fluid, you should be able to drink any available good fluid. I personally prefer clean water or milk. If it is hard to find milk and I need some thing hot to drink and tea is available, I will drink tea. I will try my best so that I am not being "controlled" by tea.

Love your every idea or action

Try to imagine your status – What ever you are doing, you love it. What ever you eat, you love it. What ever you think or talk, you love it.

I am not asking you to go to an imaginary dreamland to be able to reach the above status in your life.

I am asking you to understand and follow only four principles almost all the times.

Principle No. 1: Your body is going to stay with you for only a very very short time as compared to the life of this universe around you.

Principle No. 2: This nature around you has only given you the right of actions - thinking, talking and doing. The result from your actions has never been part of your portfolio. Therefore to worry about or any attachments to the results of your actions should be gradually reduced and eventually eliminated completely.

Principle No. 3: Although emotions are important part of your life, your decisions for taking any action MUST be approved by your mind thru your rational thinking.

Principle No. 4: With some practice, Whenever your own mind is convinced, what you should be thinking or doing, you will start thinking and doing them and gradually you will start liking them.

If you keep trying above four principles almost all the times, gradually you will reach the above-described state. Any time you have any questions, please feel free to contact me and I will try to discus your concerns.
